Sylvia Fernandes has more than 20 years experience in the corporate sector, namely in the banking, finance, human resources and IT industries. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Agri-Business, from the Universiti Putra, Malaysia.
Sylvia worked as a Treasury Specialist responsible for the Transfer Pricing Portfolio at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney. Subsequent to that she moved into headhunting elite executives in the banking and finance industry and then into the recruitment of IT executives working for companies including Franklins, IBM Global Services, PeopleSoft and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
During this transition and growth period of Sylvia’s life, she began to see that her restlessness was in fact her need for fulfilment by helping others. Sylvia began searching for a career she could be passionate about. Believing in the philosophy of ‘search and you will find’, she was introduced to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in 2002. It was then that she knew she had found her niche and set up her business in Sydney as an NLP Trainer and Coach. |
Sylvia’s past experience, in banking, business, human resources and IT, has proven to be a strong foundation for her new line of business. This augurs well for her work in the corporate world and as an entrepreneur. Sylvia’s approach to difficult issues is to simplify processes into manageable sizes while transferring skills to the people she works with.
Having already walked the change path in her personal life, Sylvia is now able to consider herself as a catalyst for change. Sylvia believes in adding value and making a difference to anything she does.
