Sheila has experience in the fields of sales, training, and communications. After graduating from University Malaya with an Honours degree in Mathematics and Chemistry and a Diploma in Education, she commenced a career in teaching, during which she also completed courses in training management.

Wanting a change after more than a decade of teaching Mathematics, she moved into the field of real estate sales with a local real estate chain, where she was subsequently appointed Recruitment and Training Manager. Here, she developed the recruitment and sales training programme for real estate negotiators and gave talks on leadership and sales at seminars organized by the Malaysian real estate fraternity.

Sheila’s penchant for writing led to a subsequent career move into the field of journalism, where she was able to unleash her passion for writing. She worked in The Sun, The New Straits Times and The Edge over a 10-year period, and in the process, honed her communication skills and garnered knowledge on various businesses with a presence in Malaysia.

A firm believer in the need for continuous development, Sheila completed a Neuro-Semantics (NS) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Corporate Practitioner Programme the further enhance her life skills. She left the media to join the training arm of a prominent Malaysian public-listed company where, as senior consultant, she developed a gamut of programmes in various fields using an NLP approach. She left her position there to join the VIA Group.

Sheila’s eclectic career path has convinced her that the only constant in life is change. She has evolved from a person who once resisted change, indeed feared it, to one who now embraces it, knowing that only with change can we grow intellectually, spiritually and professionally. To her, change is exciting because it means growth, becoming better and more skilled at living life to the fullest. Today, she’s passionate about touching other lives with that philosophy and her life’s mission is to share that message with the world.
